Canada, Germany Set to Unveil Major LNG Supply AgreementReports indicate that a significant deal for exporting liquefied natural gas from northwestern British Columbia to Germany is anticipated to be revealed by the federal government later this week.

Sources indicate that the significant agreement is between Ksi Lisims LNG in British Columbia and the German firm SEFE.

"Ksi Lisims has clearly been focused on developing global markets, hence this announcement," stated Dix.

"I won't overshadow their achievements, but clearly, having a variety of markets while promoting your product globally is beneficial."

Federal Energy Minister Tim Hodgson will announce in Vancouver about "international energy exports," with specifics of the agreement likely to be disclosed.

The suggested $10-billion floating Ksi Lisims LNG plant will be able to export 12 million metric tonnes of LNG annually from its site located 80 kilometres north of Prince Rupert in Nisga'a Nation land.

Ksi Lisims LNG is being created in collaboration with the Nisga'a Nation, Rockies LNG Ltd. Collaboration and Western LNG. Records indicate that the project's facilities will be built, owned, and managed by fully owned subsidiaries of Western LNG, located in Houston, Texas.
