Daiichi Sankyo Appoints Markus Kosch as Europe Business HeadDaiichi Sankyo has appointed Markus A. Kosch as Head of Europe Business within its new global Commercialization Unit, effective April 1, 2027. He will also serve as General Manager of Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH, taking responsibility for the company’s overall European business.

In his new role, Kosch will bring together Daiichi Europe’s Oncology and Specialty businesses under one integrated leadership structure. The move is aimed at strengthening collaboration across the two businesses and supporting the company’s continued growth in Europe.

Kosch has headed Daiichi’s Board of Lid Division for Oncology in Europe and Canada since 2021. He has experienced considerable progress and has ensured that the company has prepared itself for wider oncology products.

The leadership change is part of Daiichi’s comprehensive Five-Year Strategy Plan and reveals the company’s intention to strengthen its operations in Europe. The newly appointed supervisor commented that the merger of the company’s oncology division with the specialty division allows them to provide innovative care solutions in the region economically.

Commenting on his new appointment, Kosch expressed his gratitude for being trusted with such a significant role and added that he was optimistic about the job waiting for him in April 2027. He highlighted the opportunity to enhance cooperation among managers from both divisions and use their expertise in establishing a solid company.

Kosch has been in charge of the Oncology Business Division at Daiichi Sankyo in Europe and Canada since 2021. He has been responsible for considerable growth and getting the company ready for an upcoming diverse oncology portfolio.
