DATAGROUP Expands Executive Board With Niels Ackermann as CFO

DATAGROUP SE broadens its Executive Board with Niels Ackermann who will join the Board as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) beginning 1 June 2026. The company therefore enhances its leadership framework with a separate CFO role. So far, the duties related to the finance department have been managed by the CEO, Andreas Baresel.
DATAGROUP SE enhances its finance function by enlarging the Executive Board as part of its ongoing growth strategy. Niels Ackermann possesses over 25 years of global leadership and management experience in CFO and CEO roles within private and publicly traded companies.
His primary focus encompasses the creation and ongoing expansion of private-equity-supported enterprises, along with executing buy-and-build approaches.

Niels Ackermann has occupied senior positions at European healthcare providers and in the pharmaceutical sector, along with leadership roles in mid-sized industrial firms, where he oversaw finance and accounting, controlling, treasury, M&A, IT, HR, and legal and compliance.
He also possesses investment banking expertise from Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley and has in-depth knowledge of capital market deals, leveraged buyout (LBO) structures, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes.
In his new position, Niels Ackerman, alongside the management team, will continue to promote organic growth and will assist in defining the long-term buy-and-build strategy for the German and European markets.
