Exide Industries Partners with ExCom GmbH to Expand EEA Battery Market

Exide Industries Limited, a prominent Indian provider of lead-acid batteries and energy storage solutions, has begun a strategic partnership with ExCom Energy Solutions GmbH, based in Germany. The collaboration seeks to enhance their industrial battery operations throughout the European Economic Area (EEA).

Declared on 16 September 2026, the extended agreement was formalized on 15 September 2026. Through this partnership, ExCom GmbH will act as the primary commercial and technical point of contact for clients in the EEA. This involves overseeing customer development, distribution, technical project assistance, and post-sales coordination.

The collaboration will primarily concentrate on traction and motive-power battery solutions tailored for material-handling equipment and logistics activities. It will also serve industrial mobility and stationary battery systems required for industrial, infrastructure, and energy storage uses. Items covered by this agreement will be promoted using the ExCom brand.

Exide India seeks to utilize its vast manufacturing capabilities and wide technology range alongside ExCom GmbH's robust market presence and local customer service framework. This tactical decision aims to provide increased value to customers throughout the EEA.

The collaboration will deliver an extensive range of solutions, including battery systems, charging technologies, system integration, application engineering, and lifecycle services. These services will be tailored to fulfill the distinct technical, regulatory, and operational needs of EEA clients.
