Pilatus takes over Germany-Based Air Alliance

Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft has announced that it has agreed to purchase the German company Air Alliance, which provides services to the aviation industry and with whom Pilatus has partnered since 2014.

Pilatus hopes that acquiring Air Alliance will strengthen its position in Europe. However, regulatory authorities must approve the acquisition before it can occur and the purchase price for the acquisition was not disclosed in Pilatus’ press release.

Air Alliance has approximately 120 employees and will remain a separate entity. Current CEO René Petersen will continue to run Air Alliance. Since 2014, Air Alliance has served as a sales and service partner for Pilatus aircraft sold in Germany and Austria.

Air Alliance has provided sales and service support to Pilatus for sale and maintenance, as well as providing both training and operation for aircraft.

Pilatus will use this acquisition to expand its market share in Europe as well as improve efficiency by creating synergies between its production, sales and operations. Germany and Austria will be two of the most important areas for growth for Pilatus.
