Playtech Forecasts Strong 2026 Profit on US and Latin America Growth

UK-based gaming technology company Playtech has projected stronger-than-expected earnings for 2026, driven by robust growth across the United States and Latin America.

The company said it expects adjusted core profit (EBITDA) to reach at least €270 million ($308.75 million) in 2026, comfortably surpassing the €219 million average estimate compiled from analysts.

The upbeat outlook follows a strong first-half performance, with Playtech forecasting adjusted core profit of approximately €155 million for the six months ended June 30, representing a 70 percent year-on-year increase.

The growth has been primarily fueled by its expanding presence in the US market, particularly through its long-standing partnership with Hard Rock Digital, one of Playtech's largest customers and the online betting and gaming division of Hard Rock International.

Commenting on the performance, Chief Executive Mor Weizer said the company's US business has delivered exceptional results, highlighting the success of its collaboration with Hard Rock Digital. He noted that the partnership continues to strengthen Playtech's position in the rapidly growing North American online gaming market.

Despite the strong first-half momentum, Playtech expects earnings in the second half of the year to moderate. The company attributed the anticipated slowdown to increased investments in a major strategic partnership in Brazil and the financial impact of higher gambling taxes introduced in the UK. While these factors are expected to weigh on near-term profitability, Playtech views them as investments that will support long-term expansion.

The company emphasized that its Brazil initiative represents a significant growth opportunity as the country's regulated online gaming market continues to develop. Playtech expects the partnership to contribute meaningfully to revenue and earnings growth from 2027 onward.
