Qualcomm Incorporated today declared the appointment of Wassim Chourbaji as senior vice president and president of Qualcomm for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Chourbaji's role begins right away. Chourbaji will take charge of directing and implementing Qualcomm's strategy throughout the region while promoting the company's strategic goals across various businesses.
Chourbaji has been at Qualcomm for over 20 years and has occupied several leadership roles throughout the organization. He most recently held the position of President of Qualcomm Middle East and Africa (MEA) and directed Qualcomm's government relations organization throughout EMEA.
Enrico Salvatori, who has been at the helm of Qualcomm's EMEA operations for over twenty years, plans to retire from Qualcomm in June 2027 after spending 25 years with the firm. Effective immediately, Salvatori will take on the position of Chairman and will keep overseeing the EMEA Automotive division until he retires.
