Viessmann Group Names Desiree Castell as CPO & Board Member

Desiree Castell has been promoted to Chief People Officer and Executive Board Member at Viessmann Generations Group, representing a major achievement in her leadership path within the company. In this broadened position, she will head the worldwide people strategy while participating at the board level to facilitate organizational change, culture, and sustainable value generation.
Before this promotion, Desiree Castell held the position of Group VP People, Culture & Organization at Viessmann Generations Group, where she significantly contributed to developing a culture focused on purpose, entrepreneurship, and values. Her guidance has been crucial in synchronizing the people strategy with the organization's goal of developing living spaces for future generations while actively aiding the global energy transition.
Previously, she served as VP of People Products at Viessmann, where she played a key role in developing scalable people systems and enhancing employee experience throughout the company. Her path at Viessmann demonstrates significant advancement in promoting culture, structuring the organization, and innovating people practices broadly.

Prior to her tenure at Viessmann, Desiree Castell held the position of VP People & Culture at Zeitgold (which was acquired by Deel), facilitating swift organizational expansion from a small team to almost 200 employees while collaboratively establishing a high-performing culture. During her tenure, the company was acknowledged as the top workplace for employee satisfaction in 2020 by Kununu and Glassdoor.

She possesses substantial consulting experience from McKinsey & Company, having served as an Engagement Manager, directing strategy, digital transformation, and organizational change projects for both family-owned and publicly traded firms.
