Volcom Partners with Loubsol to Expand Eyewear and Gear in Europe

Volcom has partnered with French eyewear and protective equipment company Loubsol to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its presence across European markets.

Under the agreement, Loubsol will design, manufacture and distribute Volcom-branded sunglasses, optical eyewear, accessories, sports goggles and protective helmets for men, women and children throughout Europe.

Owned by Authentic Brands Group, Volcom has built its identity around action sports, with deep roots in surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding. The new partnership will enable the brand to enter additional product categories while extending its action-sports positioning beyond apparel.

“Volcom has always been rooted in the cultures of skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding, making eyewear, goggles and protective equipment natural extensions of the brand,” said Hay-Won Byun, vice president, action & outdoor sports, lifestyle at Authentic, which owns the Volcom brand.

Byun added that Loubsol’s heritage, technical capabilities and focus on quality make it a strong partner for Volcom’s category expansion plans.

The first Volcom eyewear collection is expected to launch for Spring 2027. Snow goggles and helmets are planned to follow in the subsequent season. The collections will combine Loubsol’s technical expertise in eyewear and protective equipment with Volcom’s creative identity and “True To This” brand positioning.

The partnership is part of Volcom’s broader strategy to diversify its product categories and strengthen its market presence. Authentic Brands Group acquired Volcom from luxury group Kering in 2019. Through the collaboration with Loubsol, Volcom aims to bring its distinctive action-sports identity to new categories while maintaining its focus on performance and style.
