Alvarez & Marsal Appoints Maureen O’Shea to Boost European Supply

Global professional services company Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has named Maureen O’Shea as a Managing Director in its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) division. Located in London, she will collaborate throughout Europe as a member of the company’s European Operations, Supply Chain & Procurement team.

Her recruitment signifies the ongoing growth of A&M's European Private Equity Performance Improvement practice, which has seen several senior additions in the last year as the firm retains top operational expertise.

Maureen becomes part of a top private equity firm in Europe, enhancing A&M's capacity to assist investors and management teams in boosting operational performance, enhancing supply chain resilience, and achieving sustainable value creation across the investment lifecycle.

Maureen comes to A&M with expertise covering the complete supply chain gained through senior positions in both industry and consulting in consumer goods, retail, life sciences, manufacturing, transportation, and logistics.

Maureen, trained as a chemical engineer, dedicated 20 years to leadership positions in operational supply chains, which comprised 16 years at Procter & Gamble and four years at Merck GmbH. There, she directed local, regional, and global initiatives covering supply chain strategy, logistics, operations management, cost and cash enhancements, organizational design, lean transformation, and digital empowerment.

She later transitioned to consulting, taking on senior positions at EY and KPMG before joining Baringa in 2022, where she guided organizations through intricate supply chain and operational transformations, integrating data, technology, and practical execution to achieve tangible enhancements in performance, productivity, and profitability.

At A&M, Maureen will counsel private equity firms and management teams of portfolio companies regarding supply-chain and operational value enhancement, such as optimizing networks and logistics, improving costs and working capital, driving digital transformation, increasing organizational effectiveness, optimizing planning, and enhancing supply-chain resilience. She will additionally assist clients in utilizing AI and advanced analytics to achieve tangible operational and supply chain enhancements, resulting in improved bottom-line outcomes.
