Google, a company that has faced substantial fines in Europe due to antitrust violations, is currently under scrutiny from multiple European Union antitrust investigations.

Another potential factor that could contribute to increased tensions with the U.S. government is the belief that American tech giants have been unfairly singled out, an assertion that has been refuted by the European Commission.

The Commission specifically highlighted the auctions pertaining to the sale of advertising on Google Search, particularly focusing on Google's tactics of manipulating prices in order to disadvantage advertisers.

Google, a leading force in the lucrative online advertising industry, claimed that Google Search advertisements aids small enterprises in the competitive landscape against major corporations while also preserving the accessibility of the internet for all individuals.

Google explains that ad prices are established through a real-time auction process that aims to display the most pertinent advertisements to users, considering variables such as competition among advertisers and the quality of the ads.

The individuals who received the correspondence were given until the 2nd of March to submit their comments. The US Department of Justice has alleged that Google engaged in the manipulation of online auctions through the use of algorithms that prioritize its own financial interests.
