Forvia Plans €70 Million India Investment Boost

Global automotive supplier Forvia expects its India revenue to more than double, reaching $1 billion (approximately Rs.10,000 crore) by 2030.
The company also plans to invest an additional $70 million (around Rs.700 crore) to strengthen its operations in the country, driven by rising demand for SUVs, advanced vehicle electronics, and premium automotive features.
According to global CEO Martin Fischer, India is set to grow significantly faster than Forvia’s global business.
He emphasized that while the $1 billion revenue target is substantial, India still remains underrepresented in the company’s overall portfolio, highlighting strong headroom for expansion and deeper market penetration.
In 2025, Forvia reported revenue of $450 million (approximately Rs.4,500 crore) from its India operations.
With the planned investment, the company’s total commitment to India will rise to $270 million (around Rs.2,700 crore) by 2030. As part of its strategy, Forvia will establish three new manufacturing plants, including a clean mobility facility in western India, a lighting unit, and a seating plant.

The expansion will also boost employment, with the workforce expected to grow by 50%, increasing from around 6,000 employees currently to more than 9,000 by 2030. This aligns with the company’s long-term vision of scaling up its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.
Formed through the merger of Faurecia and Hella, Forvia already operates more than 10 manufacturing facilities and research and development centers across India.
