After the conclusion of the meeting, both parties announced a bilateral Military Cooperation Plan (MCP) for the years 2026-27, outlining military engagements between the armed forces of the two nations.

The Ministry of Defense stated that Singh and Crosetto reaffirmed that the strategic alliance between India and Italy is founded on common principles of peace, stability, freedom, and mutual respect.

The alignment between these two historic maritime nations on several significant maritime matters was also underscored, including the sharing of information through the Information Fusion Center-Indian Ocean Region located in Gurugram, the statement indicated.

Before the meeting commenced, the Italian Minister of Defense placed a wreath at the National War Memorial, honoring the courageous individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. Crosetto conducted an examination of the tri-service Guard of Honour.

Within the expansive framework of defense relations, both parties have been actively seeking to enhance collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region with the objective of improving interoperability and mutual cooperation.

Both parties have been investigating potential pathways for strengthening partnerships and fostering dialogue among public and private stakeholders, with a specific focus on technological collaboration, joint production, and the co-development of defense platforms and equipment.
