Vodafone, Google Cloud Partner to Bring AI, Cybersecurity to SMEs

European mobile and broadband provider Vodafone announced that it will provide its small business clients with enhanced cybersecurity and intelligent AI via its $1 billion strategic partnership with Google Cloud established in October 2024.

Vodafone stated on Wednesday that the security solution will be a managed detection and response service powered by Google Security Operations aimed at safeguarding small businesses against more frequent and advanced cyber threats.

It will debut in Germany, adhering to the area's strict data protection regulations, before expanding into more European markets later this year, it stated.

The Vodafone Business AI Concierge powered by Google Gemini is an agentic AI product intended to interact with a small business's clients to address questions and schedule appointments, it stated.

Vodafone stated that it will first be accessible in Germany and Greece. The prices for both items have yet to be revealed.
